About Szechuan Gourmet

Located at 1735 E 36th St, Cleveland, OH 44114, Szechuan Gourmet operates as a szechuan serving Cleveland in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under chinese restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 amโ€“9:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Szechuan Gourmet at (216) 881-9688; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Dandan with pork is very good, slight numbing, pretty spicy without any sweat. Spicy wontons good, not very spicy. Cucumbers also very good. Picture of Dandan and cucumbers.

Authentic food, extremely fast service, very flavorful dishes, and a vast menu that will appeal to most people eating at this restaurant.

Updating my previous 5-star review to 1 star after my second visit. The service was terrible. The woman at the front was mean, dismissive, and clearly didnโ€™t want to be there. No greeting, no smile, no basic courtesyโ€”just attitude the entire time we ordered and paid. We came back to support this business and were treated with complete disrespect. We even left a standard tip, which honestly wasnโ€™t deserved. We will NEVER COMING BACK! Also the flat rice noodle dish was not that good 1.5/ 5 ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž ๐Ÿ‘Ž The Crispy Garlic Pork Ribs & Golden Mountain Chicken (tasted like Orange chicken) were ok. Service 0/5 ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคขugly and arrogant!

Fantastic food! This place has a large menu with lots of great options. The food came out fast and was really fresh. The crab Rangoon had a lot of filling. The two entrees were both delicious, and were more than enough for dinner and leftovers. Good portion sizes and great food!
